Heat Dissipation Studies

Mactel Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) visit telecommunications facilities to conduct detailed ‘Heat Dissipation’ studies that assist Telecommunications Equipment Space Planners and Mechanical Engineering staff to design short and long term telecommunications cooling systems in the most economic manner.

Each Mactel ‘Heat Dissipation Report’ is tailored to meet individual customer requirements, and includes detailed cooling recommendations, supported by AutoCAD drawings and sketches.

The report document provides an overall summary of the existing telecommunications equipment heat dissipation, as well as future potential heat dissipation for a particular area based on the proposed long term equipment layout.

Mactel SMEs knowledge and understanding of DC Power Plants, distribution architecture, and telecommunication equipment specifications ensures an accurate calculation of actual heat dissipation in each telecommunications area.

AutoCAD floor plans are used to identify the various heat dissipation areas and “hot-spots” so that cooling designs and ventilation ductwork can be targeted and implemented to ensure efficiency and the most economic design.
