Project Management

Mactel has Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with extensive experience to assist clients ensure their Co-Location and/or Telecommunications project is completed on schedule and at least cost. This Project Management service is an end-to-end process beginning with the receipt of equipment on delivery to supervising installation staff; resolving jeopardizes; performing a quality audit on completion; and acceptance of the project on the clients behalf.

For Co-Location Mactel's Project Management can be expanded to include pre-planning, engineering, and the installation of Co-Locator equipment providing new entrants with a "one-stop shopping" approach for obtaining Co-Location space and Facilities in Incumbent Central Offices.

Project Management arrangements are tailored to meet the needs of each individual customer. The following is a summary of some of the activities Mactel has successfully provided for clients:
  • Ensure all materials have arrived on site simultaneous with installation team to minimize downtime and costs
  • On site acceptance of equipment
  • Monitor and reporting of all activities and milestones during an installation to ensure all dates are met
  • Ensure all portions of the installation are proceeding according to the engineering specification, as well as all telecommunications industry and/or manufacturer guidelines
  • Oversee the development of a Method of Procedure (MOP) for all equipment and D.C. Power cut-overs
  • Act as single point of contact between the client and the installation contractor for the duration of the installation
  • Provide a “quality audit” report at the end of the installation
