For Co-Location Mactel's Project Management can be expanded to include pre-planning, engineering, and the installation of Co-Locator equipment providing new entrants with a "one-stop shopping" approach for obtaining Co-Location space and Facilities in Incumbent Central Offices.
Project Management arrangements are tailored to meet the needs of each individual customer. The following is a summary of some of the activities Mactel has successfully provided for clients:
- Ensure all materials have arrived on site simultaneous with installation team to minimize downtime and costs
- On site acceptance of equipment
- Monitor and reporting of all activities and milestones during an installation to ensure all dates are met
- Ensure all portions of the installation are proceeding according to the engineering specification, as well as all telecommunications industry and/or manufacturer guidelines
- Oversee the development of a Method of Procedure (MOP) for all equipment and D.C. Power cut-overs
- Act as single point of contact between the client and the installation contractor for the duration of the installation
- Provide a “quality audit” report at the end of the installation
