Mactel Communications Inc. (Mactel) is a well-respected Bell Canada (Bell) approved vendor who has been serving Bell Canada and other Communications Service Providers across Canada and the U.S.A. for over 30 years.

Mactel has two (2) main offices both located in London Ontario. One (1) is a Product Production Office providing Planning, Engineering, Project Management, Central Office Site Surveys, Ground Audits Co-Location Planning, and AutoCAD services. The other is a Sales Office located on the ground floor of the Bell Canada building at 100 Dundas Street in London, Ontario.

Mactel’s labour force consists of a strong nucleus of permanent employees and technicians supplemented by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) employed on a contractual ‘as required’ basis depending on workload.

Mactel typically employs about twelve (12) permanent employees at its Production Office. Mactel’s Subject Matter Experts (SME) are all experienced former Bell Canada and Nortel employees. These SMEs are located across most Ontario NPA’s and in Quebec they are located in Montreal. All have many years experience working at technical functions such as planning, engineering, project management, and installation co-ordination jobs. This experienced expert resource pool allows Mactel to ramp-up quickly to meet any workload. Mactel also has available a professional electrical engineer.

Mactel also has access to fully trained telecommunications expert resources available to clients on a temporary basis thereby allowing clients to operate in an extremely cost efficient manner based on workload.

Mactel’s goal is to continually surpass customer expectations. We strive to achieve this through our responsiveness to the growing and constantly changing needs of our customers in the telecommunications industry. This is demonstrated by the fact that Mactel has planned and engineered over 1500 hundred requests for Co-Location facilities in Bell Canada Ontario Central Offices. Mactel is known as the Co-Location experts in Canada and has a Regulatory Consultant who has worked on both sides of the border with both incumbent providers and new entrants.

Mactel carries the required liability insurance to operate in a telecommunications environment and all our SMEs are comfortable and have background working in the strict safety and security environment of a telecommunications building. Our SMEs are routinely required to conduct site visits to telecommunications customer buildings to perform engineering surveys of the existing buildings, assist with the selection of new telecommunications sites, or plan equipment and overhead infrastructure equipment installations.

Mactel planning and engineering products are all supported by detailed AutoCAD drawings and sketches to ensure that the equipment is installed and cabled as engineered.
